Heritage Park Restrictions Lifted
Heritage Park Trails are now open to bike and horse riders every day.
All signage at the Heritage Park trail intersections have been completed. We will continue working on placement of signs at strategic locations along the trails to remind users which trail they are on and to keep users on the right trails. However, with the intersections complete the Odd/Even Use system has ended.

SORBA to Build Trails at EACP
SORBA Athens representative John Wares announced today that SORBA has been meeting with the Athens/Clarke County Leisure Services department over the past three months to discuss moving forward with legitimate mountain bike trails in Clarke County. Although several parcels of land have been identified as possible for future projects, the current plan is to put a "Gateway" trail - one that is accessible for younger and beginning riders - at East Athens Community Park. March 2010 SORBA Board Meeting
Hey, you guys!
We're trying something a little different this year. We're turning the typical SORBA Board of Directors Meeting into a festival weekend at the Nantahala Outdoor Center in Bryson City, NC! The Board of Directors, the Regional Leadership Advisory Council, the Subaru-IMBA Trail Care Crew, and mountain bikers of all stripes will converge for a weekend of mountain biking, including trail education, riding, a party, and more riding!

New Trail at Heritage
The "Boy Scout" trail is now open for riding at Oconee Heritage Park. The new trail will serve as the trailhead once the parking lot is moved to its new location in the front field. The photo on the right was taken after a rainy January work party which cleaned out the trail corridor.
