Riders will start the 2.25 mile course in the upper parking lot of Trail Creek Park. Riders will enter the trail system traveling clockwise and descend down Panic, through the Pine Forest, and race under the Trail Creek Street bridge. Next riders will cross over the Boyscout Bridge and turn left onto the Green Trail. In this super fast section riders will turn left onto the Connector Trial, then follow the Orange Trail from last year’s course through the upper section of the trail. Riders will then fly down the power line descent, bypassing Josh’s Jump, and connect back to the Green Trail. The final section of the course will be the Green Trail to the Gravel Triangle. Once at the Gravel Triangle, riders will exit the trail system onto the Greenway, and the final sprint of the course will be on the Greenway and Trail Creek Street. Riders will have to finish strong on the final uphill drag to the upper parking lot of the park.

Top 50 times across all categories will qualify to race in the nighttime Scott Mountain Bike Finals Criterium, which will be held on the downtown 4-corner Twilight course and will be 20K long (20 laps). Payouts will be determined based on the number of entrants.

Criterium Rules:
In an effort to make this a true mountain bike race, riders will ride the same bike for the Criterium as they ride for the Time Trial, except tires may be switched out.

- Gears and chain rings can NOT be switched out.
- No drop bars will be allowed.
- Tire width has to be at least 1.5 inches.
- Slick tires are allowed.
- Please plan to be there early so that they can stay on schedule.

The Widespread downhill is rutted out in a few places due to folks riding this newly built trail while it was wet and during the freeze/thaw process. The priority for the workdays this weekend will be fixing the damage and making a few final tweaks on Widespread. As time and labor permits, we also plan to start doing the finish work on the even newer Drive by Truckers trail. Please bring a water bottle and a hard rake, mcleod and/or rogue hoe if you have one.  We will be out there on both Saturday and Sunday Noon to 3 p.m.  Meet at the Upper Parking Lot at noon.
Valentine's weekend is coming up and Trail Creek needs some love. The new Widespread downhill trail has been rough cut in with the machine and now needs a lot of finish work including shaping huge berms, jumps and tabletops as well as removing rocks, roots, and debris. We are sprinting to the finish line and need your help. We have decided to double down and have back to back workdays Noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 14th and Sunday Feb. 15th. We'll also have a group ride Sunday after the workday. We'll provide lunch for all volunteers at the end of both workdays.  Please bring long pants, a water bottle, and a shovel, hard rake, mcleod and/or rogue hoe if you have one.  We will also have lots of extra tools on hand.  Meet at the Upper Parking Lot at noon.

Athens-Clarke County Department of Leisure Services is excited to host a master trail building certification course March 16-19, 2015.  The course, taught by Trail Design Specialists Inc., will cover the latest advances in trail design, construction, and maintenance for trails used by walkers, runners, hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians.

Let's build some berms on Panic!  We'll have a truckload of dirt, a four wheeler and dump trailer.  We need folks to help load and unload dirt and build and shape berms.  We will have some extra tools, gloves, and a water cooler, but if you have your own please bring gloves, hard rakes and/or shovels.  Meet in the upper parking lot at noon.
